Access to Business (Level 3)

Course Content

This one-year programme is ideal for those who have an interest in business and wish to enhance their employment opportunities.

All students will study core modules: Communication skills; Application of number; IT; Research skills; Customer Service skills

Other business modules include: Introduction to marketing; Performing market research; Human Resource management; Business law; Negligence; Sex and race discrimination; Management

Teaching/Assessment

There is a mixture of learning experiences from theory, practice and coursework projects.
Students will be assessed through a variety of written and oral assignments.
All students will be required to study research and key skills.
 

Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications required. However students have to demonstrate appropriate communication and numerical skills of at least Level 1 or 2.

All applicants will sit a brief written test.

Applicants must show commitment and be enthusiastic about the subject.

Progression

This course helps candidates to progress towards Higher Education [e.g. degrees in Business, Management, Marketing or Human Resources.]

This programme is suitable for students who wish to start their own business or obtain employment in a variety of business environments.

Full time students will be required to pay a registration fee of approximately £20.
