Access students from Gower College Swansea will be recognised at a special awards ceremony at Llwyn y Bryn this week.
“Many of our students are mature learners who have returned to education after several years of working and/or looking after their families,” says Access coordinator Suzanne Arnold. “We feel it’s really important to hold an event that highlights their amazing achievements.”
This year, almost 400 students have enrolled on the college’s various Access programmes. These courses are ideal for students who wish to supplement existing qualifications in order to progress to higher education.
“Most of our graduating students of 2010 are now on their way to university to study subjects as varied as midwifery, nursing, criminology and youth justice, social work, Egyptology, English, business and law degrees,” adds Suzanne. “We wish them all the best!”
This press release refers to students from Tycoch and Llwyn y Bryn.
