The Essential Skills team can provide you with information to meet your specific learning needs. They offer advice and guidance at the application stage through to enrolment, ensuring you receive all the help required to guarantee success.

If you require specialist equipment or assistance we will organise this for you. The college will need to be informed at application stage to make the necessary arrangements.

Learning Support provides essential skills tuition and dyslexia support, giving students the opportunity to improve their performance. Essential skills include Communications, Application of Number and IT. They enable you to complete your course successfully and will equip you with transferable skills for higher education and employment.

The team uses a variety of teaching and learning styles to meet your individual needs including Learndirect, group discussions, presentations and individual tuition.
 
Skills checks at the beginning and end of your course will show you improvements made during your studies with us.
