How to Apply/Admissions [full time]

Complete an application form*
To become a student you need to complete a full time application form.

It’s very important that you ensure you choose the right course to develop the career you want. Our student advisors can help you if you are unsure of which courses to choose.

Attend an open evening
Come along to one of our open evenings where you can speak to college staff about the course options available and see the facilities on offer. Our next open evening is 17th November 2010.

Attend an interview
This is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to ask questions about the college. During your interview we are looking for a real interest in the course you are applying for and evidence of commitment to your course including work experience, hobbies and interests.

Offer
We will offer you a place on the course. This may be conditional on you gaining the relevant entry qualifications.

Exam results
If you pass your exams, you’ve got a place at college. Don’t worry if you haven’t got the grades you expected – we will be able to advise you on the alternative courses available.

Enrolment
You will be invited to an enrolment session at the end of August. This is when we confirm your course. If you are not completely sure, our student advisors will be happy to talk through your options.

The Welsh Assembly Government now requires the college to verify the identity of all learners. When you first attend college you must bring with you some proof of your identity such as:

  • Passport
  • Validate Card
  • Employee ID card
  • Driving licence
  • National Insurance Card
  • Bank Credit/Debit Card
  • Proof of Benefits
  • Examination Results Slip

Attend induction in September
Before your course starts you will be invited to attend an induction. This is designed to help you settle into the college, meet your tutor and other students on the same course.

For more information about the admissions procedure please contact 01792 284000.
