Enrolling At College [full time]

At the beginning of August we will send out a postcard to remind you of your enrolment date. If you cannot attend your enrolment interview please call the Admissions Department as soon as possible to rearrange your appointment. If you miss your final interview you may lose your place on the course.

The Admissions telephone number is 01792 284179 or 01792 284177.

It is important that you attend even if you didn’t get the results you needed. If you don’t do as well as you had hoped you can discuss other options with the interviewer or the Careers team.

Please bring the following with you to enrolment:
Your examination results - these are very important and you will not be able to enrol without them.

  • £20 Registration Fee [cash or cheque only]
  • A signed copy of the Student Code of Conduct Agreement (enclosed in your Course Offer Booklet] and the completed parent communication form.
  • Payment for a bus pass [if applicable]

The Welsh Assembly Government now requires the college to verify the identity of all learners. When you first attend college you must bring with you some proof of your identity such as:

  • Passport
  • Validate Card
  • Employee ID card
  • Driving licence
  • National Insurance Card
  • Bank Credit/Debit Card
  • Proof of Benefits
  • Examination Results Slip

On your enrolment day
Please allow plenty of time for enrolment at the college. It could take the full day.

Initial screening
All students enrolling at the college will be asked to sit an initial screening to assess your maths and English skills. This will help to identify any additional learning support that you need.

FCF [Financial Contingency Fund]
If you have applied for the Financial Contingency Fund before your enrolment day you will be told by letter if you are eligible to receive the fund. The funds will not be confirmed until you are enrolled on your course. You can also apply for FCF on your enrolment day. These funds are distributed on 'first come, first served' basis.

Disability and Learning Support
The college is committed to students with learning difficulties and has helped many students with disabilities to successfully complete their courses. We provide an open and friendly process which is aimed at helping students to achieve their personal, educational and employment goals.

Please tell us about your disability or learning needs as early as possible so we can provide any additional support required.
