Business Studies, Law and Finance
A great mix of courses introducing students to the skills and knowledge needed to develop a career in the world of business. The courses have been updated and developed to respond to the specific needs of employers.
An Accountany Academy has been developed following the success of the Finance Academy introduced in 2007. This offers opportunities to do valuable paid work experience during the summer break.

Students can apply for progression on courses and a range of apprenticeships following level 1 and 2 courses. Students can also apply to a range of HND, Degree or professional courses in related subjects upon completion of level 3.
Students research and undertake a mixture of practical activities and written assignments to meet the requirements of the units. There are also project based group assignments and phase tests. There are no formal exams.
Educational visits and guest speakers are integral to courses e.g. Welsh Assembly, local and national businesses, international visits to Boston, USA for the Finance Academy, various team building and charity events.
