Digital Technology

Digital Technology is involved in all walks of life! Our everyday items like televisions and mobile phones, in-car entertainment, engine management, climate control, computers and numerous control systems are all based around electronics.
Our televisions are becoming digital and all homes will need to be able to receive the digital signal. Our higher level courses focus on this area.

Progression opportunities exist from Level 1 right through to Level 4. Level 4 programmes offer direct progression to Degree level courses.
The Digital Technology department is widely regarded as a ‘centre of excellence’, having been selected as the lead provider by the Department of Trade and Industry for Digital Aerial Training.
Learners are assessed in a variety of ways including interactive IT assignments, practical assessments, multi-choice online examinations and portfolio and project work.
